Josh, a Georgia native who was raised in Varnell, GA, joins Royal Oaks as the Executive Director with 15 plus years in senior living. Prior to joining Royal Oaks, he was an Executive Director for 10 years and then stepped into a multi-state Regional Operations role.
When asked what drew him into the senior industry, Josh shares “Like many others, my interest can be traced back to the relationship that I had with my grandparents. From an early age, I used to visit nursing homes with my grandmother and spent many summer weekends with my grandparents and their senior friends camping in the mountains of eastern Tennessee. I believe those relationships I built as a child made an impact and helped me to have true respect for seniors and each of their individual stories.”
Josh states he was led to Royal Oaks as a way to truly come back home. Having worked for Hamilton Healthcare 20 years ago, and being from the area, he saw the opportunity to give back to the community and town that means so much to him.
Josh is married to his lovely wife Amy, and they have a combined household of 5 children and 2 grandchildren. In his free time, he can usually be found at The Bradley Wellness Center working out or boating on Chickamauga Lake. He stays busy attending his kids’ events and chasing his twin granddaughters. It’s also important for Josh to share that he is a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan. “Go Dawgs!”
Josh’s favorite quote is, “Always touch a person’s heart before you ask him for a hand” John C. Maxwell.
